As a Python Engineer at Monkeyjump Labs, you will be responsible for writing code, building features, interacting with client stakeholders, and supporting technical decisions. Job Responsibilities
- Build backend services and APIs using technologies such as FastAPI and Python
- Develop AI-powered applications using LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent frameworks
- Work with client and stakeholders using lean software development methodologies
- Independently build out features and capabilities
- Ability to quickly troubleshoot and debug issues
- Contribute to a culture of learning, trust, support, and fun
- Provide feedback and support to your peers
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code
- Other duties as assigned
Technical Qualifications
- Required
- Proficiency in Python (3.8+)
- Experience with FastAPI or similar modern Python web frameworks
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent AI/LLM orchestration frameworks
- PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other database technologies
- AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms
- Proficiency in Git
- Code health and testing tools, such as mypy, ruff, and Pytest
- Familiarity with lean software development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
- Nice-to-haves
- Proficiency in front-end technologies (React, Typescript)
- Apache Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools
- Docker and containerization
- Redis or other caching solutions
- Vector databases (pgVector, Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma)
- Kubernetes or container orchestration
- CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)

The expected salary range for this role is $90k to 120k per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
