As a Python Engineer at Monkeyjump Labs, you will be responsible for writing code, building features, interacting with client stakeholders, and supporting technical decisions. Job Responsibilities

  • Build backend services and APIs using technologies such as FastAPI and Python
  • Develop AI-powered applications using LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent frameworks
  • Work with client and stakeholders using lean software development methodologies
  • Independently build out features and capabilities
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot and debug issues
  • Contribute to a culture of learning, trust, support, and fun
  • Provide feedback and support to your peers
  • Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code
  • Other duties as assigned

Technical Qualifications

  • Required
    • Proficiency in Python (3.8+)
    • Experience with FastAPI or similar modern Python web frameworks
    • Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent AI/LLM orchestration frameworks
    • PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other database technologies
    • AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms
    • Proficiency in Git
    • Code health and testing tools, such as mypy, ruff, and Pytest
    • Familiarity with lean software development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
  • Nice-to-haves
    • Proficiency in front-end technologies (React, Typescript)
    • Apache Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools
    • Docker and containerization
    • Redis or other caching solutions
    • Vector databases (pgVector, Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma)
    • Kubernetes or container orchestration
    • CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)

Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $90k to 120k per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
